The Hotel Acanthe is conveniently located, making it easy for senior people to explore Nice. The nearby Albert 1st gardens and fountains provide a pleasant atmosphere for leisurely walks. The hotel's decoration has a charming and cozy feel, creating a welcoming environment for guests.
One improvement that could enhance the experience for senior people is if the children working at the hotel could be more attentive to guests' needs.

We have stayed here for years and we always try and get this hotel. It is excellent value for money, the rooms and clean though not very big but still very adequate. The staff are superb specially Katarina in the reception and Sebastian. The location is 100% perfect as you are tight in the hub of all the main places and the beach. Would always recommend and always intend staying here when in Nice.

The location was pretty central - 15-20 minute walk from the Ville train station, a 10-minute walk from both the beach and Old Town, and only 2 minutes from Place Massena. We paid a little more for a rotunda room overlooking some beautiful gardens and fountains; I think it was worth the extra money. The room's windows were large and beautiful, opening like doors and thankfully let a lot of much-needed air in, as the room was very hot and musty without any AC. The breakfast was an extra 5 euros per person per morning, but good and probably comparable to breakfast at a cafe. It included coffee or tea or juice, baguette, croissant and the usual condiments.
It didn't feel the cleanest. The carpet seemed dirty and was actually just laid over the old carpet. There was a floor-standing fan in the room which looked so old and dusty it seemed like it would be a health hazard to use it, and the room was quite hot and stuffy when we first arrived. There is no AC. Luckily the windows let a lot of air in to alleviate the problem. We slept with the windows open at night for the cool air, but if you are a medium-to-light sleeper, bring ear plugs because it is very noisy outside with the windows open. Thanks to the open windows, we got one mosquito in the room one morning, but I imagine that problem might be worse on lower floors (we were on the 5th floor). The bathroom seemed relatively new and clean, but the sink was so small I couldn't even wash my face without getting water all over the floor. It was as big as the sink in an airplane bathroom, and the shower was a bit small too. Smallness of the bathroom was only a minor factor, though.

For the price we paid, we were pleasantly surprised by the value we got at Hotel Acanthe. The room was small but nice, with a lovely balcony overlooking the fountain park. The location couldn't be better, just a couple of blocks away from the beach and right next to Place Massena. The staff were also very helpful, reimbursing us for the first night when there was a flood in our assigned room, and promptly making a reservation for us in a nearby hotel.
The morning meal could have been better.

We have stayed in this hotel already few times. Location is perfect, close to old part of town as well to beach. If you have Rotonde room, view is very nice and also room is spacious. Value for money!
Maybe carpet could be cleaner, but otherwise room was nice and clean. There is no conditioner, just ventilator. If you take double room take in account that there is really not much space in room and even less in bathroom.

Fantastic staff who all speak English.Great location. Close to bus and tram stops. Railway station is a 10 minute easy flat walk. Wifi available in comfortable lounge area. Umbrellas, towels and mats available from reception for the beach. Would stay again and recommend to anyone.
There is a breakfast available at the hotel for 5 euros - croissant and french bread was always stale. Would recommend a local cafe.

Incredible location near all the cool attractions, shops, and restaurants. Reception staff were amazing and helped us book an awesome tour. Great value for money, especially considering it's in the heart of the tourist area.

Perfect location! 3 mins to Beach and old town - the new town and station close still close by. We stayed in a rotunde room and the view and the room were brilliant for the price. We highly recommend these rooms as they are not much more than others but so much nicer - something a bit different - romantic even! Overall a very clean, friendly hotel with very efficient service, for a good price and in a great location.

The best with this hotel is the location and the price! Its absolutely one of the best value hotels in Nice. Close to shopping, beach, and old town. Its a bit of a walk to the Bus and Train station but its no biggie, there are trams that take you pretty close.
There was a bit of noise from the outside, but hey, its in the middle of the city.

We have stayed here now about 10 times and we come to NICE several times a year and usually stay at this hotel. It's location is superb as it is right in the heart of the city, so you get everywhere from this hotel so easily. It reminds me of the Pension style hotels of Europe and it is basic but comfortable and we just love it here.

This hotel is absolutely amazing! The cleanliness is top-notch, the continental breakfast is delicious, and the quiet room made for a peaceful stay. I loved the view of the park and the great location near the beach and shopping. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay, even arranging for another hotel when my room wasn't available. I can't wait to come back!

The room was clean, the personal very friendly. And it is a really cute hotel. If we had answers it was no problem to ask the personal - if they knew they answered all of our questions. If we come back to Nizza we would choose this hotel again.

I really liked our room on the top floor with the view to the gardens... It`s worth to pay extra 3 euro per night to get round room...
